Inflammation of the Digestive Tract May Cause Health Problems
[ad_1]
When people think of inflammation they most likely think of warm red throbbing pain and swelling. This, of course, would be correct if the thought is in regard to inflammation on the surface of the body or in the mouth, joints, and muscles – for instance a toothache, or sore muscles, sore joints and the like. You could also have symptoms not unlike the flu with elevated temperature, chills, or other obvious symptoms.
However, most of us are not aware that people can suffer inflammation and not even realize it is happening. This can happen in the internal organs of our bodies. Such as asthma caused by inflammation of the airways; problems causing inflammation of the kidneys which can result in high blood pressure; even colitis caused by inflammation of the digestive tract just to name a few.
Our individual bodies all work as unique systems and each of us have individual quirks and needs and inflammation, therefore, can attack in various ways throughout our bodies. Even though there can be just one source of inflammation there can be a myriad of responses or conditions as a result of the inflammation.
For now let’s address or concentrate on inflammation of the digestive tract, its consequences, and how to improve or even cure the condition. Research seems to show that genetics plays an important role on where in the body any one individual might suffer from inflammation. Bottom line, wherever it occurs, it needs to be addressed and treated in order to manage or cure the problem because inflammation is a serious and destructive condition.
Whatever the condition, you can be sure that there are many over the counter products available and various drug companies producing many drugs for each and every condition related to inflammation. But not the basic cause which is inflammation. These drugs can be prescribed by physicians. The public spends millions upon millions of dollars chasing after relief for bloating, gas, constipation, colitis, diarrhea, heart burn, and acid reflux disease and the bulk of the money is with the prescribed medications. Also, the medical community as a whole sneer at the possibility that diet and natural supplements could be the answer to many conditions we humans suffer from.
But, what if we did begin treating the cause of the inflammation instead of the symptoms or the conditions it causes? There are natural supplement products available for use that would steer clear of the toxic chemicals contained in prescribed drugs that would address the root condition, inflammation. The longer inflammation is allowed to go untreated within our bodies, the more destruction and misery it can cause.
Much of our health can be improved by committing ourselves to being our own advocate, doing research, gaining knowledge about our bodies. Any one physician cannot know everything and should not be expected to do so. In this day and age we have access to mind boggling amounts of information throughout the internet that can help us take control of our lives. Much of the information you can find advises to improve our nutrition by eating fresh healthy foods and avoiding excess fat, sugar, and overly processed foods. Since, our fresh foods no longer contain all the nutrients needed by our bodies because of modern farming methods that do not replace and replenish the nutrients in the soil; we must add them back via natural supplements.
By changing our diets and adding healthy natural supplements, such as prebiotics, to our daily routine inflammation may be better and even controlled completely. This is such an easy way to alleviate your inflammation symptoms. Always check with your primary health care provider before you add any supplement to your diet. This is especially important if you are taking prescribed medication.
