[ad_1]
Do you have a double air mattress? If so, you already felt what it feels like sleeping on it. Double air beds are very comfortable to sleep on because they provide extra comfort that ordinary beds cannot provide. If you’ve seen double air mattresses before, they are a quite the same with double air beds only thinner. Most people who have an air bed really have better sleep compared to those who don’t have them since it is softer and thicker than other beds. To help extend the longevity of your air bed, here are some helpful tips.
1. Don’t over inflate it. If you over inflate the bed, there is a possibility that it will stretch too hard and the seams will burst. Just because it is thick, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have a limit. Even if you want your double air mattress to be firmer than usual, avoid doing this to prevent it from bursting. The best thing that you can do is to fill the bed with just the right amount of air and seal it. Try laying on it, to find out if it needs some more air. If the air is not enough, add some more but if you see that the bed is already too shiny like it’s about to burst, let some of the air out.
2. Place a blockade between the bed and the ground. It could be piece of wood or a sturdy mat. This is to protect your double air bed from sharp and hard objects from the ground that can poke and destroy it. There are these types of grasses called razor grass which can damage your bed. To avoid problems like this, don’t forget to place a barrier between the bed and the ground at all times.
3. Place a tarp on your bed before laying on it. This is also one of the techniques to help avoid your bed from getting damaged. If the bed is exposed, they tend to get destroyed by sharp and rough edges of you sleeping bag.
4. Clean your air bed regularly. Always keep your air mattress clean. By gently tapping the sides and the back of your bed until all the dirt would come off, you have already cleaned your bed. However, if you wish to do a more thorough cleaning, get a piece of cloth and wet it with soapy water and wipe the whole bed. Some campers use alcohol in cleaning their air beds, you might also want to use this. Never forget to dry your air bed first before placing the sheets on it.
It is very important to know how to take proper care of your air bed to ensure that it will last for a long period of time. If you do this, you will never have to keep on buying a new one every now and then for you have maintained the functionality and durability of your air bed.
